The whole #metoo phenomenon has been a triggering experience for many of us. We lived through it, and then we had to re-live it through the countless stories of women and men across our nation who found the courage to speak.Read More

Yesterday I had tea with a lovely young man and his mother. Patrick, who now works with me weekly on editing projects for the digital content work we do for clients, is a wonderful fella I've known for a few years now.
He's a shining example of the kind of unique workers we can hire when we look outside the "norm." I met Patrick through the AMVA (www.actorsforautism.org) program that takes young people just out of high school and teaches them practical film/production skills. He's been a terrific asset and his intelligence, wit and work ethic continue to amaze me.Read More
If you know me at all, you know I'm a big fan of practising daily kindness. I think our society, our world, and definitely, our children need to see kindness modelled daily, without strings attached.

This week I had the chance to be the keynote speaker at a local Rotary club, and I had a great time. I've spoken at various Rotary Clubs around the city, and every time I am pleasantly reminded of how many gracious and giving people live in this community.Read More
When is the last time you hired someone with physical or mental challenges? Did you know that there is an army of able and eager workers available to you, along with incentives to help subsidize the hire? I'm currently working with a local organization as well - www.fvosolutions.com - to develop training programs to empower more of our "challenged" champions to work in social media/production.Read More
"We are force-fed this mentality that we should have a massive audience, a large platform, a voice that ricochets across the nation with power and conviction, and yet we have not learned to stop, breathe, be grateful and simply LOVE moment by moment." - Shanna Forrestall, Forrestall ConsultingRead More
It’s no secret that the “energy” and “expectations” we carry into each day affect not only us, but the people around us. So as we think about how to grow our influence and our business, it’s worth focusing on what we can do to bring a positive slant to the work we do each day.Read More

"Many of the great love affairs of my life were not with traditional lovers, but with the friends who have come into my life to carry me through dark passes, or who were there to celebrate joyous moments, or who pushed me to become more than I am, because they ... saw me!"Read More
The Internet is wonderful. Without it you’d not be reading this – that is unless one of your awesome friends has shared it with you. Most of us however, worry about our children’s safety online, not least about the many social media sites that they visit every day.Read More
Although a flurry of social media activity is happening around the globe daily, one important question may still not be answered for most users.
What happens to my social media when I’m gone?
With just a few minutes of preparation, you can ensure that your family or key loved ones have access to your photos, videos and social media “legacy” when you pass away.Read More

We know that giving anything - time, money, resources and energy is a sacrifice for the average citizen, and yet they are the most likely to respond when called upon.
My goal, and the goal of the forward thinking organizations and non profits I'm working with is to figure out how we can activate the most people to participate in recovery, and then make the most of their offerings?
We must learn from the past and pay attention to the present so that we can ensure our future.Read More
You may not know …. but over the years I've been able to work with an amazing organization that trains and empowers organ requesters to take better care of organ donor families and recipients.Read More
I’ve been partnering with Rob Gaudet and Melissa Adair of Cajun Relief for awhile, but their new initiative Crowd Relief has me super excited! I’m obviously a fan of the power of digital to “do good” and this is modern relief management at it’s finest.
Their new app allows supporters of disaster relief around the world to contribute to specific family needs in the wake of a disaster with the touch of a button....

The older I get, the more I realize that life is not easily defined. As a child in a religious home, we read stories of good and bad in the Bible and other fairy tales, but as an adult in a gray world, that’s hardly the case.
People are not just one or the other. Good or Bad. Hero or Antagonist. Many times, they’re both, it just depends on the day....Read More
